Hi all,
The cleaning session at the bungalow was excellent and the space is now in a fit state for us to use on Tuesday. Thanks to everyone who took part in the cleaning last week!
The four meetings we will be having next week will be somewhat self led while we’re settling into our new routine. Especially so at the bungalow where we need to acquire equipment. Please bear this in mind and perhaps bring a small project with you at your first session. We’re yet to acquire tables at the bungalow too so perhaps bring something that can be done on your lap.
We have already received some news of potential community projects such as assembling storage and tables at the bungalow as Royal Props for Poringland’s coronation event, making a seat cushion for a toy box and repairing a display shelf for Loddon Library.
At both sites we’ll need to run everyone through a basic health & safety induction which is part of our insurance. We’ll do this in groups at each session. If you are also planning to use the woodwork machinery we’ll need to demonstrate using these and sign off your competency forms before letting you loose on them. Please be patient while we work through these initial processes.
